One Battle After Another

“Get a better name. "Comrade Josh" - that's a fuckin' ridiculous name for a revolutionary.” Fuckin A, man. Fuck-in-A. This was worth the hype. Thank god i managed to still see it in theaters. I would have been real miffed otherwise. Good on you P.T.A. I was only tangentially familiar with your game. This was fucking excellent. Getting a movie out and it being so very topical (in the good and the bad) is hard to do, and it was nailed to a t in this. There are many others far more articulate than me who can better sing the praises of this film, so I’m gonna give my one personal piece here: Whoever made the trailers for this movie should be forced into new careers entirely. The trailers for this made it look like hot dog water doo doo ass cheeks. If not for the raving word of mouth, Letterboxd essays, and constant mentionings (a food podcast I follow kept bringing it up for Christ’s sake) I would have missed on out on this late contender for movie of the year. For shame on the trailer makers, for shame. “Do I look like your parent?” “Kinda.”
