Teenagers in a small town are dropping like flies, apparently in the grip of mass hysteria causing their suicides. A cop's daughter, Nancy Thompson, traces the cause to child molester Fred Krueger, who was burned alive by angry parents many years before. Krueger has now come back in the dreams of his killers' children, claiming their lives as his revenge. Nancy and her boyfriend, Glen, must devise a plan to lure the monster out of the realm of nightmares and into the real world...

““I’m your boyfriend now Nancy.” A lot slower paced than I expected. Everyone in the movie is kinda annoying, and like, especially dumb even by horror standards. That said, I still enjoyed it, and it was definitely more funny than I think it intends to be. That comes with the territory though. Wasn’t expecting that ambiguous of an ending, that’s kinda neat. Now I wonder how much they’ll roll with that or fuck it up going forward into the sequels. “Morality sucks.””
