Paola grows up in a Colombian family full of appearances: her father is a priest, her mother a psychic, and her sisters don’t live up to their parents’ expectations. She seeks independence in a world full of stereotypes and learns to live on her own terms, as a series of experiences gradually shape her personality.

jun 28, 2026“Not the biggest fan of autobiographical works in general, so I knew this wouldn't resonate much with me. The ending is helpful especially considering how complex Paola's life has been throughout her formative years. I assume it leads to the other autobiographical comics from Power Paola. Animation wise, this was impressive! The perspective / layering was neat, and I was often looking at the environments/backgrounds more intently than I was looking at the characters. Even then, it must have been a ton of work to draw and animate this many different figures/faces, I don't think background characters repeat at all.”
